Job Description

We are the leading provider of Consulting Services in the Shipping industry in Greece, assisting organisations better manage the risks associated with their business objectives, improve their business processes and operational effectiveness, strengthen their corporate governance practices and establish effective system of internal controls. Our clients include both listed and private shipping companies.

Due to the continued growth of our practice and consistently high demand for our services, we are now recruiting high calibre candidates for our Shipping Advisory team in Athens.  

The role:

  • Be a member of project teams, assisting in the preparation of project deliverables, reports and presentations.
  • Executing internal audit projects for our shipping clients.
  • Performing risk & compliance reviews regarding SOX s404 act; meeting with client personnel, collecting and filtering information, compiling risk matrices, performing testing of controls.
  • Engaging on business level discussions/ workshops with clients around the design of new ERP systems; gathering and documenting business requirements related to the new system.
  • Evaluating the adequacy of the company’s established procedures; documenting process narratives and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Application of Lean Six Sigma and PwC methodologies in business process reengineering and operational excellence projects.
  • Incorporating findings and conclusions appropriately into a key issues oriented report delivered to our clients.
  • Application of common sense / commercial awareness / knowledge obtained during the project to assess the quality and reliability of information supplied.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • Excellent academic background from a Greek or foreign top-tier university with background in Shipping, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or other relevant field or related discipline
  • Up to five (5) years of experience in a similar position will be considered an asset
  • Genuine interest in the shipping industry
  • Excellent computer skills, a proficient user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A confident and positive attitude, focused on teamwork and communication with colleagues and clients
  • Excellent business sense and commercial awareness
  • Excellent financial and business analytical skills
  • Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner, (both in English and Greek)
  • Military services fulfilled for male candidates
