Due to the continued growth of our practice we are now recruiting a Research Economist for our team in Athens. 

 

The role entails:

  • Macroeconomic analysis, financial markets & company analysis
  • Researching, analysing, interpreting, and gathering financial data
  • Writing various technical reports/presentations on macroeconomic trends/ sector analysis serving for company’s thought leadership, as well as financial statement analysis
  • Creating and using various econometric modelling techniques to evaluate trends and develop forecasts
  • Conducting in depth econometric and macroeconomic analysis
  • Devising methods and procedures for obtaining data
  • Preparing targeted industry and company analysis

 

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

 

  • Excellent academic records from a Greek or foreign university with background in Economics or similar quantitative discipline
  • Post-graduate degree in Economics, Econometrics or similar quantitative discipline (Finance -knowledge of basic Accounting principles)
  • 1-3 years prior work experience in economic research or department, or related field
  • High level of efficiency in econometrical programs in Excel
  • Excellent research and analytical skills including the ability to analyse relevant data to make sound judgements
  • Highly numerate, with strong track record in developing/implementing complex spreadsheet models
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A confident and positive attitude, focused on teamwork and communication with colleagues and clients
  • Commitment to providing high quality deliverable and building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner, both in English and Greek
  • Military services fulfilled for male candidates
