PwC Data Science and Analytics advisors work with clients to solve various business problems or spot unidentified issues using advanced data processing, analytics methodologies and technologies.

Due to the continued growth of our Advisory practices we are currently seeking for a highly motivated Quantitative Analyst/Data Scientist to join our Data and Analytics (D&A) team. D&A is a core team responsible of providing Data Visualization and Predictive Modelling Scientific advisory solutions and applications based on a Big data approaches across the PwC Greece office.

One time you will work on a customer insight related project focusing on optimizing the trade promotion strategy of a leading international organization, while the other time you will be part of a team working on forecasting customers’ expected profitability of a leading financial institution and present the key outcomes utilizing business intelligence (BI) visualization dashboard platforms.

  • Understand our client’s business questions and propose appropriate advanced data analytics approaches to reach optimal solutions.
  • Deploy appropriate data processing and statistical software programming skills to manipulate, analyze and model large volume of data and get valuable insights of customers’ and companies’ behavior.
  • Contribute to creative discoveries, when structuring formless data and investigating patterns.
  • Lead or be part of challenging projects covering a broad range of various functions of the top organizations in Greece and/or abroad.
  • Accelerate business options and propose game-changing solutions to our clients.
  • Create targeted presentations to communicate the insights and key messages of your findings so you maximize client project’s values.
  • Be continuously updated and informed about methodologies and technologies on the field of data processing, analysis and predictive modelling.
  • Be a key member of the Data Science and Analytics team and contribute to the research and development of the team.

Job Requirements

What we look for?

  • Bachelor and a master degree in computer science, engineering, operational research, applied mathematics, financial engineering, statistics or other related field with strong quantitative background from a leading local or oversees University.
  • Relevant experience of at least 2-3 years.
  • Experience in managing, exploring, analyzing and modelling large volumes of data to gain insights of customer’s patterns and insights, by programming software packages relevant to data management, analysis and predictive modelling.
  • Experience in procedural and imperative programming languages (e.g. SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL etc.) and use of data bases will be an asset.
  • Programming skills in any open and licensed based data analytics and modelling software packages is must (e.g. including SAS, SPSS and/or R and Python).
  • Predictive modelling background and willingness to continuously be updated with advanced predictive modelling methodologies.
  • Knowledge and/or theoretical background of financial credit risk management models will be considered an asset.
  • Ability and willingness to work in cross and multidisciplinary teams across different business industries is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to translate your advanced analytics methodologies and work products in simple words.
