PwC’s Tax Controversy team works with the clients to prevent, efficiently manage, and favorably resolve tax audits and disputes. Our tax attorneys-members of PwC's Tax Controversy team combine in-depth knowledge of tax matters with solid legal background, specialization in the tax-related procedures and great experience in the handling of complex tax disputes and in the robust conduct of proceedings before all administrative and court instances (both at the domestic and EU level).

In this dynamic environment we are now recruiting high caliber Experienced Tax Lawyers for our Tax Controversy team in Athens. More specifically:


The role:

  • Be part of the Tax Controversy team, focused on a wide spectrum of tax controversy and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) issues, both of substantive and of procedural nature
  • Carry out technical research on tax and customs legislation, relevant rules of EU and administrative law, as well as the laws relevant to tax/customs procedures and court proceedings and related jurisprudence
  • Supporting the provision of advice on tax controversy / alternative dispute resolution (ADR) issues and the handling of the relevant procedures
  • Manage client engagements including preparing proposals, documents and reports
  • Execute organizational, monitoring and reporting tasks
  • Seek opportunities to develop your own expertise by taking on greater responsibility and/or more technically demanding tasks.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • 4 – 10 years of experience at a Law or consulting firm or in a large in-house law department with exclusive focus on taxation and tax controversy matters
  • Bachelor degree in Law from a top-tier university; a master degree in Tax, Administrative or European law will be highly regarded
  • Excellent legal and reporting writing skills
  • Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, structured and professional manner (both in English & in Greek)
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient user of MS Office
  • A confident and positive attitude, focused on teamwork and communication with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building client relationships
  • Willingness for continuous learning and development
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Military obligation fulfilled for male candidates
