We are one of the leading providers of Deals related services in Greece. Our Deals - Business Recovery Services team focuses mainly on Debt Restructuring, Distressed M&A, Independent Business Review, Lender’s Option Analysis, Pre-pack rehabilitation agreements, Special administration services and special purpose assignments. Our client base consists primarily of financial institutions, private equity funds and large Greek and multinational corporates.


Due to the continued growth of our practice and consistently high demand for Business Recovery Services, we are now recruiting an Associate, for full-time employment in our Deals - Business Recovery Services Practice in Athens. 


The role entails:


  • Collection and filtering of accounting, financial and non-financial information through interviews, virtual data-rooms and other means;
  • Preparation of financial analyses and understanding of the main factors driving business financial performance;
  • Preparation and/or review of business plan including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow projections;
  • Application of common sense / commercial awareness / knowledge obtained during the project to understand the main drivers of the historical trading or the business plan, comment on the assumptions, carry out sensitivities and participate in discussions so as to develop restructuring options;
  • Preparation and / or review of restructuring plans according to pre-pack 106 rehabilitation or special administration legal process;
  • Participating in the design, execution and monitoring of distressed M&A processes;
  • Incorporating findings and conclusions appropriately into a key issues oriented report delivered to our clients;
  • Actively assisting in the drafting of proposals in the context of tendering for new business;
  • Supporting senior members of the team in the implementation of projects;
  • Undertaking targeted market research.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should have:


  • Up to (2) years of working experience in business recovery services, corporate finance, banking, transaction support services (financial due diligence) or financial analysis;
  • Excellent academic background from a Greek or foreign university. A postgraduate degree in finance, accounting, MBA or a relevant professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, CFA) will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent financial modelling skills;
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting and reporting standards (e.g. IFRS, Greek GAAP, Greek chart of accounts) would be appreciated;
  • Excellent computer skills, a proficient user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.);
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • A confident and positive attitude, focused on teamwork and communication with colleagues and clients;
  • Excellent business sense and commercial awareness;
  • Excellent financial and business analytical skills;
  • Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner, (both in English and Greek);
  • Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • Completed military services for male candidates.
